Couture Waterproof Flooring Information

What is Hydro-AP?

Hydro-AP is an advanced resin and HDF compositie, which produces a fully waterproof core for the flooring.

Where can Couture flooring be fitted?

Couture flooring stands out as a premium choice for both residential and commercial settings thanks to its unbeatable combination of elegance and durability. The key to this versatility lies in its AC5 wear rating, the highest designation on the Abrasion Class (AC) scale. This rating signifies that the flooring's surface layer is built to withstand heavy commercial use, meaning it can endure high foot traffic and demanding environments. Furthermore, couture flooring boasts an aluminium oxide protective coating. Aluminium oxide, one of the hardest substances next to diamond, creates a near-impenetrable shield against scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear and tear. This translates to a floor that looks stunning for years to come, regardless of the setting – whether it's a bustling commercial space or a busy family home.

Are Couture planks easy to install?

Forget about complicated floor installations! Couture planks boast a user-friendly design that makes them a breeze to fit, even for DIY enthusiasts. Here's the secret to their speedy installation:

  • Built-in Underlay: Couture planks come with a pre-attached underlayment, eliminating the need for a separate layer. This not only saves time and effort but also ensures a smooth, level surface for a perfect finish.
  • 5G Easy-fit Click Profile: These planks feature a revolutionary 5G click-locking system. Imagine puzzle pieces that snap together effortlessly – that's the magic of 5G. The planks simply click into place with minimal pressure, ensuring a secure and seamless connection.

This combination of a built-in underlay and the 5G click system allows for a fast and efficient installation process. You can spend less time wrestling with the floor and more time enjoying your beautiful new space.

Will I need underlay?

No, all Couture planks are pre-fitted with a sound-reducing 2mm anti-microbial underlay.

What are the advantages of Hydro-AP over traditional laminates?

While traditional laminate offers affordability, Hydro-AP laminate takes the crown in moisture-prone areas. Its secret lies in the 14mm core. Unlike traditional planks that absorb water and swell, Hydro-AP boasts a specially treated core that repels spills and splashes. This makes them ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, or laundry rooms where accidents happen. So, if peace of mind around spills and a beautiful floor are both priorities, Hydro-AP is the clear winner.

Why do the planks look just like Oak flooring?

Couture planks are styled with a unique true-to-life EIR graining texture. Embossed in Register (EIR) graining is a manufacturing technique used to create ultra-realistic wood or stone finishes, particularly in luxury vinyl flooring. It goes beyond a simple printed image by adding a matching textured layer. Imagine feeling a knot in the wood grain with your hand - with EIR, the raised bump on the plank lines up perfectly with the knot image printed on the surface. This creates a more immersive and natural look and feel, making it hard to distinguish from real wood or stone.
